Fruit Couture began with a simple idea: to turn nature's finest fruits into irresistible works of art. What started as a creative experiment soon blossomed into Ottawa’s premier destination for gourmet chocolate-covered strawberries and fresh fruit creations.
Founded in 2013 by Jackie Bonilla, her journey began with a single, playful experiment: an owl fruit sculpture made for a friend’s baby shower. Little did she know that this moment of inspiration would lead to the creation of a business that brings together artistry and indulgence to Ottawans across the city.
Our name, Fruit Couture, speaks to our philosophy: much like a bespoke garment, each one of our creations is crafted with precision, care, and an eye for beauty. We pour our passion into every detail, from the first dip of chocolate to the final elegant drizzle, because we believe that true indulgence lies in the details.

Jackie has always had a deep love for chocolate, earning the nickname 'Chocolat' from a childhood friend. While studying at Ottawa University, she launched Fruit Couture, where she now combines her passion for business and creativity to oversee the creation of luxurious, handcrafted fruit arrangements that make every occasion special.
Juan Carlos, chief operating officer
Juan has been part of Fruit Couture since its inception, taking on a more active role as the company grew. With his international business background, he supports operations behind the scenes. A devoted father with a love for football and good food, Juan ensures everything runs smoothly while bringing his expertise to the business.

This charming owl was Jackie's very first creation, crafted for a baby shower back in 2013. Since then, she has brought to life ducks, bears, and intricate watermelon carvings!
